Fashion Studies 9:
In this course students will sew a minimum of 4 clothing items, using sewing machines and sergers. Students will study natural fibers and fabrics and the elements of design. Students will be taught a variety of quick and easy sewing techniques which will help their skills improve. A brief study of various culture fashions and clothing styles will be completed.

Fashion Studies 10:
A review of Fashion Studies 9 is done with the added challenge of more sophisticated work.

Fashion Studies 11:
In this course students will sew a minimum of 5 clothing items based on individual ability. Studies will become proficient users of the sewing machines and sergers. This course will include a field trips and guest speakers from the textiles industry.
- Synthetic fibres and fabrics.
- Historical and cultural clothing.
- Careers in the textile industry.
- Fabric construction.
- Designing labels.
- Elements and Principles of design.

Fashion Studies 12:
In this course students will sew a minimum of 5 clothing items based on individual ability. Studies will become proficient users of the sewing machines and sergers. This course will include a field trips and guest speakers from the textiles industry.
- Computer Design for Garments and Fabrics.
- Coordinating clothing (what not to wear!).
- Fibre testing and care.
- Fabric Construction.
- Influences on clothing choice.
- Applying design theory to fashion designs.
- Industrial advances & global issues in clothing construction.
- Advanced sewing techniques.
- Embellishment and surface design.
