SUBSTANCE
ABUSE
Grade 7's: As part of our CAPP program, you
will be learning about numberous substances that can be misused or abused.
You will also learn about the possible consequences of misusing these substances
and you will use your findings to make a presentation that would discourage
substance abuse.
This activity is divided
into 3 parts:
1.
Group
Activity: You will be
divided into groups of 4 and be given some questions to answer. You will present
your answers by displaying them on a web-page(s) that will include text, images
and links.
2.
Individual
Activity #1: You will
choose a substance (from Mrs. Frey's list) to research and create a report on.
This report will be in the form of a web-page that will include text, images and
links.
3. Individual
Activity #2: You will
create a PowerPoint presentation to discourage substance
abuse.
