Strong Start
at Fairview Community School
When?
Monday to Friday between 8:45 and 11:45 throughout the school year.
What is it?
Strong Start is a drop-in program of centres, stories, and games for parents and preschoolers from 0 to 5. There are no fees for the program and snacks are provided.
Who leads it?
Cathy Brocklehurst is our capable and enthusiastic Strong Start coordinator.
Parent-Child Mother Goose
Cathy and her Georgia Avenue partner, Sherry Welte lead a series of 10 Parent-Child Mother Goose sessions from January to March at Fairview Community School.
Tuesdays 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm in the library
January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3, 10, 24
These sessions are designed for parents of 3 and 4 year-olds with their children. A maximum of 15 families were able to participate. Register early to join in this program next year!

Any child between the ages of 3 and 5 attending the Ready! Set! Learn! event or registering for Kindergarten will receive the backpack and materials given out at our session.
