Literature 12

Mr McPherson

Expectations:

This course will require a great commitment by each student to complete the material necessary for the Provincial Exam. When you are away YOU will be responsible to call you LIT BUDDY to discover the day's assignment--you are expected to have the assignment completed prior to your return to class. Any handouts missed will be collected by your Lit Buddy and made accessible to you through them. You cannot afford to fall behind in this course.

Assignments:

Use blue or black ink only and allow double margins. I will not require rough copies but I do expect work to be of the appropriate level of sophistication. Careless errors will result in re-writing. No assignments will be accepted late. The speed with which we traverse the course will prevent this. I expect all your assignments to be scholarly. This means I expect formal English--a high level of vocabulary and an obviously well-thought-out presentation of ideas.

Tests:

Any test missed cannot be made up without contact from your parents within three days. A phonecall from them to me will confirm your unavoidable absence.

Punctuality:

As this is you last semester of high school, there are certain expectation which will now form a part of your post-secondary education. NO LATES. Any missed class is costly to a student in terms of comprehension and retention. Your punctuality is your responsibility and consequence. You cannot hope to succeed in this course without regular attendance and punctuality.
