1. The Walls Came Tumbling Down is a lecture on the collapse of the Soviet Union. This goes beyond Howarth to deal with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the USSR - essential reading.
2. "Did Reagan Win the Cold War" is a transcript of a PBS discussion the thrust of which is that Ronald Reagan was more astute than he was given credit for, and this his policies did indeed play a large part in causing the Soviet Union to bankrupt itself and collapse
3. "Who Won the Cold War" is a review of a book by Robert Gates, a former director of the CIA. His thesis is that the US did 3 things right - it posed a credible nuclear threat to the USSR, and never relented, it insisted on the inclusion of human rights in the Helsinki Accords, and it played it very cool during the final phases of the Soviet Union. Quite a good analysis.
