WOOD DESIGN 8 (IE8)

This is a combination woodworking and drafting course in which the students learn to accurately draft plans for projects of their own design, which they then build in the second half of the course. Students also use the woodshop TOOLS & MACHINES to safely build simple games and puzzles, etc. from wood and clear plastic.

PROJECTS INCLUDE:

• Design Problem Solution
• For this project students design their own solution to a design problem that changes from year to year. 1998's challenge was to design and build a cargo vehicle that would transport 2 eggs down a racetrack. The winner's will be announced on this site after the race, stay tuned.
