This is a course for those students interested in learning about mechanics. Activities in the shop will focus on safety, correct use of tools, use of oxy-acetylene welding equipment and the complete disassembly and reassembly of a small engine. Ignition and carburation diagnostics will be emphasized. Other areas of study are cooling, lubrication, engine design, emissions awareness, proper maintenance of engines, and diagnostic procedures.
