
This course is for the student who wishes to pursue a more thorough understanding of automotive mechanics. Emphasis will be placed on practical procedures involving hands-on learning experiences. Course-related theory will be fuel injection, air brakes, electronic control systems, sensors and activators, emissions standards, welding, routine maintenance and power train systems.
A full semester course providing students with extra experience in the field of automotive system maintenance. Students will have successfully completed MX 12A and be able to work in specialized areas of interest within the mechanics umbrella of focus (e.g. - bodywork, engine rebuilding, fabrication, etc.). Students should be highly motivated before enrolling in this course.
