TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2009 SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL Girls in Grades 11 and 12 who wish to play basketball this season are encouraged to attend a short meeting today at lunch in Room D211. There will be important information about open gyms, schedules and tryouts, so any girls interested should attend this meeting. Please see Mr. Nelson if you have any questions. COACHES MEETING A notice to all coaches…today's meeting will be held in D212 at lunch to discuss the Honour Roll Fundraiser. GRADE 8 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL The Gr. 8 girls volleyball teams have a meeting at 11:30 in B104. JUNIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL There will be a brief but extremely important meeting Thursday at Lunch in Room D212 for girls in Grade 10 who want to play basketball this year. CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS Cross Country Runners travelling to Vanier on Thursday, please see Mr. Saunders this morning. PEER TUTORING BLOCKS 3 & 4 A reminder to all students in Mrs. Saunders Block 3 & 4 peer tutoring class that if you did not get your journals in on Friday, please hand them into Mrs. Saunders today ASAP. Please leave them at the girls PE office. LANGUAGE CHALLENGE EXAMS Any students interested in writing one of the Language Challenge Exams should see their counselor by October 19th. For more information, see September's newsletter. Anyone with the forms, make sure you return them to your counselor by October 21st. Then go to D204 today at lunch for anime club. VARIETY NIGHT Attention to all students who have auditioned for variety night…Please attend a quick meeting today at lunch in the drama room. DOVER BAY CHESS CLUB Dover Bay Chess Club is starting back up in E203, Mr. Slater's classroom, every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch. Everyone is welcome. PHOTO RETAKES School Photo Retakes will be Wednesday October 14 in the morning. You must bring your old photos in to get a retake. Students who have not had their photo taken must pick up a new form from the office. STARLIGHT FILM FESTIVAL Tickets will be on sale in the atrium on October 14 and October 15. MULTICULTURAL FAMILY GAMES AND YOUTH GYM NIGHT Held at the gymnasium and multipurpose room at McGirr Elementary School on Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 on the following dates: Oct. 14, 28, Nov. 25 and Dec. 9.
