THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2009 CROSS COUNTRY Congratulations to the cross country team on their results from the Campbell River meet. The girls team placed first overall and the boys were second. FLOOR HOCKEY Big games today starting off with Dream Team and Prestige Worldwide, followed by Team Jesse DeRossa and the LVHL All-Stars. All students are welcome to watch, and to please remember there is NO food allowed in the gym. GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY The girls field hockey practice will be at 2:15 PM today on the upper field. DOVER BAY CHESS CLUB Dover Bay Chess Club is starting back up in E203, Mr. Slaters classroom, every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch. Everyone is welcome. PHOTO RETAKES School Photo Retakes will be on Wednesday October 14 in the morning. You must bring your old photos in to get a retake. Students who have not had their photo taken must pick up a new form from the office. GRAD PHOTOS: Grad photos will take place on October 23rd - 26th. Sign up sheets will be available next week. PEER TUTORS IN BLOCKS 1 & 2 Mr. Dendes' Peer Tutors need to stay in their placements this Friday as Mr. Dendes will be away. BATTERY RECYCLING Attention! All teachers! Students from the Dover Bay Eco-Club will be coming to collect any batteries you may have in your classrooms tomorrow, October 8th, after school. STARLIGHT FILM FESTIVAL Are you interested in going to the Starlight Film Festival this year? It will be Friday October 16 from 12 am til 6:30 am at the Galaxy Theater. There will be movies, munches and games so come on out. It's open to high school students only. Tickets are $20 each and will be selling next week, October 14 & 15 at lunch time. DOVER BAY CINEMATRIX Want to be in a short film? Have extra time after school? Well today after school any available students are needed for a quick scene. We want to show how we can change the world! Please come to E204 after school today! ENCOUNTERS CANADA Would Julie Harper and Deanna Starr please see Mr. Durvin in the Graduation Center at lunch time today. LEADERSHIP Leadership/Peer Tutoring students in Block 3 please come to Mr. Dendes portable on Tuesday for a Global awareness workshop. SURVEY Attention all classes that received a survey yesterday. Please remember to fill them out as yearbook students will be picking them up at the end of C Block.
