April 27, 2010 Meeting Minutes

Present: Ms. Susann Young, Brenda Stupich, and Linda Landry

1). Approval of agenda: Susann moved to accept the agenda, Brenda seconded.

2). Approval of minutes: Susann moved to accept the March meeting minutes, Brenda seconded this motion.

3). Correspondence: Teacher magazine, Focus – district news, BCCPAC AGM notice

4). Reports

a). Principal’s:

· Milk run April 28

· Cedar Showcase April 28

· 30 hour famine April 30

· Honour roll assembly May 3

· VIU advising May 6

· Athletic Banquet May 11

· Interim report cards out May 13

· Aboriginal Education Grad celebration May 20

· Grade 7 team day May 26

· Cedar Awards night May 27

b). Treasurer’s/Bingo:

· Paid $1500.00 for bursary awards delivered on June 8^th at the Port Theatre for the SD 68 Honours night.

· Received a request for replacing volleyball nets. Does this not fall under the PE supplies budget? Tabled until May pending available funds. Brenda will ask PE staff if new nets are needed.

e). Fun Fair: Each school will receive approximately $6000.

5). New Business:

· Request for funds: volley ball nets see treasurer’s report above.

· Mail out for recruitment next year? Table until May.

· Our ‘mark’ as a PAC:

6). Old Business:

· Year end Pancake Breakfast - date, volunteers: June 11^th. Linda will price out making own pancake batter.

· Shade trees – allocation? Tabled until June. Brenda found out each tree will be $235.
