Assignment #11

Flash Animation

You are going to make up a new Flash file in the same folder calling it the same way as the last one with an 11 in it.

In this exercise we are going to use the previous exercise and make up a short animation on a new layer every time your webpage opens. However it will not continue to replay because we are going to insert an Action Script on another layer to stop it.

      1. Make a new layer up calling it Startup.
      2. Make a short animation approximately a few seconds in length just for when your page starts up. ie like a star sparkling or something happening that is related to your product.
      3. Test the movie now. It continues to loop over and over. We don’t want it to do that.
      4. Now make up a new layer called Actions and add a keyframe to the last frame that matches up with the Startup layer.
      5. Select the last frame in the Actions layer and open up the Actions panel by right-clicking on the frame.
      6. Click on the "+" sign. Select "Global Functions -> Timeline Control -> stop"
      7. Save your flash website file to your H: drive calling it your first name, first letter of your last name and the number of the assignment. ie Fred Jones would be fredj11.fla
      8. Now copy that .fla file to the S: drive for marking in the proper folder.

Evaluation: 20 marks (15 marks for animation, 5 marks for actions)
