This intermediate computer course will provide students with basic skills required for today's digital age. We focus on different types of digital media creation that is often demonstrated on the Internet and in film productions.
Topics covered include image manipulation, video creation and editing, sound mixing, 2D animation and 3D modeling and animation. The focus will be on elements of design, composition, techniques, and use of space.

Hand in: 1 buoy OR a different circular object using similar technique!!
Assignment 7 - Fuzzy Light Effect in Fireworks (5 marks)
Use the tutorial to help you create your own blended-light background.
Assignment 8 - Create a Windows-like Wallpaper with Fireworks (10 marks)
Hand in your own "flares"for marks.
Assignment 9 - Try out this tutorial that shows you how to put on neon-light on a grungy looking wall.
You'll need the following background images for the tutorial (image 1, image 2)
Hand in your own creation for marks. (15 marks)
Assignment 10 - Collage ( 5 marks)
Use what you've learned to create a vibrant and edgy billboard ad. (15 marks)
Assignment 11 - Photo-Realistic Touch-ups (15 marks)
Use your own images or images found online. Hand in this practice tutorial for marks. Don't forget to add your own "touches".
Extra - Tilt-Shift technique on Photoshop (Highly Recommended)
Tilt-Shift is the technique that people use to make a fake miniature world style photos.
It makes your photo looking like it was a model taken at a miniature world with macro.
Digital Artwork Portfolio (DUE Apr 12)- Put together a portfolio (using Movie Maker or other means) to showcase your digital artwork (20 marks)
