Simple Boney Guy - Inverse Kinematics
If you can remember back to the last year and how to make a character with Inverse Kinetics then you may continue with making up a character first. Then have your Character do a complicated set of steps and actions incorporating Curve editor. Using a simple character I want you to have your character start at the bottom of a flight of stairs and have him/her walk up the stairs in a realistic fashion, then do a back flip off and land on the bottom of the stairs again.

Student will review the use of:Saving Incrementally, UI
use, Viewports, Materials, Collapsing objects as well as other things learned in the Grade 11 Course.
Do you know the movie Bolt or Madagascar ? Link to Madagascar Homepage. Your first project is to Model either the plane in Madagascar or the motor home in Bolt. There are not very many great pictures of it. You may find some more. You may fill in the blanks where you don't get a good view.
You
will need to work with the materials to make an model as close as you can with limited visibility of the image. Pay close attention to the proportions of the objects and relationship to each other. You will not animate the characters at this time but maybe later.. You will hand in about 3 views of the project. You will have about 5 days to work on this first project.
Place a white background in the scene and place your name in text under your work. Save 2 renders at 800 * 600, one close view to show me the materials used and one showing me the whole building.
Student will learn: In this tutorial, you'll use a combination of techniques to model an alien character. You start by duplicating, positioning, and scaling semicircles. The CrossSection and Surface modifier are added to the modifier stack to skin the semicircles. Then the stack is collapsed to an editable patch, where the remainder of the modeling is performed.

Part 5
Start by completing a tutorial on a creature. It is a 5 part tutorial complete
with pictures. Finish this tutorial and turn in your rendered creature as
close as you can to the demonstration for maximum marks. The only thing that
may differ on your version of is the flattening of the eye socket.
3. Project 3 Your own Patch Character - using the information from above, I want you to design your own patch character. The character can be of your own design or an existing character. The less human like the character the more success you may have because of expectations of lifelike features of a human. In the past students modeled Shriek and other such characters.
